About the Author

Ann Aikens lives in Vermont, where she has written a serio-comic column entitled "Upper Valley Girl" for local newspapers since 1996. Ann holds no advanced degrees in psychology or any other subject. The advice in her book is based solely on empirical knowledge, having moved 17 times; held countless jobs in numerous industries; conversed extensively with strangers for decades; found the best friends imaginable; dated all manner of men; and spent 20+ years as a devoted aunt. This is her first rodeo.
